the Alabama State Council on the Arts in the RSA

The Prattville Creative Arts
Center is nestled under
the live oak trees dripping
with Spanish moss by the
gently rolling waters of
Autauga Creek. This 1890’s
house is home to the
Prattauga Art Guild and The
Gallery, featuring artwork
by local and regional
artists and a private
collection, including
works by internationally
famous Autauga County
native, Charlie “Tin Man”
Lucas. The Creative Arts
Center hosts classes and
workshops in visual and
dramatic arts and music,
as well as other creative
classes sponsored by the
City of Prattville and
the Prattauga Art Guild.
The art center is located
along Prattville’s Creek
Walk behind City Hall
in the historic Downtown
area. From Interstate 65
take Exit 179 toward
Prattville on Cobbs Ford
Road and travel
approximately 5 miles to
Downtown Prattville and
turn left on Chestnut
Street. The Creative Arts
Center is on the right.
